DETAILS
This ISTY751 digital CarConnect 3000 interface by iSimple is a state of the
art product that allows you to directly connect a
Bluetooth device to your factory radio, allowing both hands-free calling and music streaming. The built-in Bluetooth interface allows you to directly connect your Bluetooth-ready device, provided it supports Hands-Free Profiles (HFP).
To use it for calls you just clip the microphone on your visor (or some other common sense location.) To make or receive a call, you simply enter satellite radio or CD Changer mode on your radio. (For most radios, this is as simple as a press of a button.) Then you'll hear the call audio through the car radio and the included microphone will pick up your end of the conversation. Caller ID information is displayed on the radio if you are in satellite mode. If you aren't in satellite or CD Changer mode when a call comes in, you just switch to that mode before you answer. Caller ID info is shown on the radio display provided your radio is satellite capable and you are using this device in satellite mode.
You can also stream music from your device through this interface using the built-in A2DP streaming. You will have basic track control from the steering wheel or the radio, as well as volume control. This allows you to get rid of your wires and keep your eyes on the road! Artist and song text are shown on the radio display provided your radio is satellite capable and you are using this device in satellite mode.
You MUST have either an AM SAT, CD or DISC button and your vehicle must be on the application list. (Exception: 2012+ vehicles on the list without one of those buttons but with a non-navigation touchscree are also compatible.) You are wasting your money if you don't meet these requirements and returns are not accepted for open items because they can no longer be sold as new, so please check your radio out BEFORE purchasing this kit.

ADDITIONAL INFO
**Vehicles that have both a factory satellite tuner AND some other factory remote device (CD Changer separate from radio, rear entertainment system, etc) will require connection of an additional wire. It will need run all the way to the satellite tuner and spliced into the input plug. Instructions for the connection, including pictures, are in the manual. Location of the satellite tuner will vary. Instructions for routing the wire to the tuner are not included. You can go to isimplesolutions.com/carconnect to see the location of the tuner for several common vehicles.
Again, this wiring modification is only required if you have a satellite tuner AND another factory remote device attached to your radio. (Most commonly rear seat entertainment.) You will not have to make a modification if you only have satellite radio or if you don't have satellite radio at all.**
