This dash trim panel is listed for the following vehicles
They made different versions for 2WD and 4WD vehicles. This is the 4WD version. We no longer have the 2WD version.
- 2007 Lincoln Navigator
- 2008 Lincoln Navigator
- 2009 Lincoln Navigator
This is the dark
wood-grain version. (They came in a crate and
it was labeled Gloss Fine Ebony.) There is another version that is lighter in color. It is our understanding that your interior color
determined which of the two woodgrain colors your vehicle was equipped with. They are VERY different in appearance. If yours looks like this one, it's probably the right one.
on this panel are designed to fit factory components. The climate
controls, the climate readout and the bank of larger buttons will
be relocated from your existing trim panel to this one. There is one
bank of additional buttons that were present only if you had the
navigation radio. These are mounted in this trim panel, as you can see
from the picture. However, we don't have info on the wiring harness
used to connect it. You may or may not have to acquire one. The
largest opening is, of course, designed for the factory navigation
radio. It measures approximately
4 3/4" tall by 7 1/2" wide. I
am assuming you could also use an aftermarket radio in this opening but
we don't deal with aftermarket radios so we can't tell you what would be
involved with that.
If you're upgrading to a
navigation radio, you're going
to need this trim panel because the trim piece for the regular CD6 radio
has a bar running
through it that's hard to eliminate without ruining the looks of the
panel. Of course, there are other things required for a navigation
upgrade but, if you want your install to look factory, this is probably
the most important piece and it's the hardest to find.
We advise you to check with your dealer if you have ANY
concerns about features, applications or special installation
considerations. We are not responsible for knowing what all will be involved in your installation. This is not a normal stock item for us. We will not be able to answer questions about what you'll have to do to put a nav system in your vehicle.
There are a probably websites you can visit that have postings about installing navigation radios.
