Cassette drive repair (Many 2000+ GM radios)
$60.00
If you've got a 2000+ GM radio that is approximately 4 3/8 inches tall and HAS an RDS button, this is the cassette drive repair service for you. We will repair or replace your existing cassette drive (typically within 3 business days) and return the radio to you. The repair is covered by a 6 month warranty.

INSTRUCTIONS
You will purchase the repair from this listing first. Then you will send your radio AND a copy of the payment confirmation email OR the Order Process email to:

    Replacement Radios
    Attn: Repairs
    2301 S. Banker St, Ste B
    Effingham, IL 62401
Please purchase delivery confirmation if you use USPS. (Tracking is included with UPS and Fedex.) Our techs do not answer inquiries, so questions about receipt of your package or estimated completion date will NOT be answered. Your tracking number shows when we received the package. The repair turn-around time is indicated above. You will receive a tracking number when it ships back out. If there is a problem or unexpected delay, we will contact you. Calling or emailing us about progress only serves to slow down progress. We know it's tough to go without a radio for a week or more but please be patient. Factory service centers take 3+ weeks to perform repairs, so we're clearly exceeding the standard.

Use common sense!! Please do not send your package without the requested paperwork or, at the very least, a note that indicates your Order Number. Between inventory, repairs, and returns, we get hundreds of items every week. Packages that show up without any documentation WILL experience a significant delay in processing.

DETAILS
The VIN is required for pre and post-repair testing. These radios are computer-integrated and require a signal with the VIN to operate. Failure to include the VIN with your radio will delay the repair process.

This repair will address problems playing and/or ejecting cassettes. Any other repairs which are required are not covered at this price. If you need an additional repair, please contact us for a repair estimate.

The radio pictured above is merely an example of one of the common GM radios from this era.

DISCLAIMER: Repair prices are based on the assumption that the radio is in it's native state. If it has been damaged by prior attempts to diagnose or repair a problem, additional parts may be required and, if so, additional costs will be incurred. Should we find this to be the case with your radio, we'll contact you BEFORE doing any additional work. However, should you elect not to have the additional work completed, there will be no refund for time and materials already put into the radio.

Make sure to remove any CDs or cassettes that are in your radio BEFORE you ship it. The units are prone to damage during shipping if they still have media in them.
