Are you in need of a knob or button for a GM CD6 radio like the one pictured below? Do you have a button or knob that is worn, missing or broken? We carry a large stock of brand new parts for this radio. This is for ONE knob or button. Please indicate your year, vehicle type and button or knob type in the OPTIONS section below. If you are in need of several buttons, you should consider ordering the complete set. It is also found in the Parts>>GM>>Buttons/Knobs category. Compared to old buttons, new buttons might not be as shiny and the lettering will probably be brighter. This is another reason to consider the whole set. Even if you don't, a slight difference in appearance is better than badly worn buttons.

This is for ONE knob or button only, not the entire trimplate. There are no quantity breaks. If you need multiple buttons, you will need to keep adding this item to your cart and select the appropriate button from the drop-down list (in the OPTIONS section below) each time. Please note: some buttons cost more or less than the base price. The adjustment amount is indicated in the drop-down box. We cannot honor requests for buttons not pictured and any fees we incur will be deducted from a refund for a button/knob not pictured or for any button/knob ordered in error.

Installation instructions are not included. You shouldn't be attempting to repair a radio if you're not qualified. Having said that, installation of the volume, tune and audio knobs are easy. The old ones pop off if you give them a firm tug. All other buttons require you to remove the radio, then the radio face and, finally, the board from the back of the face. Make sure you unplug the radio from the vehicle and let it sit for at least 30 minutes before attempting this repair!! Your VIN is stored in memory so the radio won't lock.

These are cosmetic parts only. They won't solve functional problems.

Please note this is a 2002 version of the face
and it has the smooth Volume and Tune knobs
instead of the ribbed ones. The buttons inside
them are also different so, if you order one of
those two buttons, you will receive the knob too.
If all you need is the smooth ring around the
Volume or Tune button, those can be ordered
separately.

A very small number of CD6 radios have a Tune
knob that was rotated 45 degrees and the print
on this Tune knob will be off-kilter as a result.
If you want to see if your radio uses the rotated
Tune knob, pull your existing Tune knob off, along
with the white shaft behind it. Then look at the
green socket that is left on the board when you
remove the white shaft. If there is a groove on the
inside of the socket at the very bottom of it, as well
as grooves 90 degrees to each direction of the bottom
one, this Tune button will work for you.

Because the print on the preset buttons is a
little larger than it is on some CD6 radios, we
only sell the preset buttons as a group. If you
just replace one or two, it would be noticeable.

Please also note there is no BAND CD AUX
button. This one says AM FM CD AUX. This
button (and all other buttons) will still perform
the correct function even if labeled differently.

Finally, some buttons are available with orange
print instead of white. See the drop-down below.
