This drive should work in some 2002+ VW cars. The top of the drive is pictured below. If in doubt, do yourself a favor and pop the top off the radio so you can make sure yours looks like the one pictured below because returns are not accepted. There is a warranty but it covers defectives only and it is an exchange only warranty. (For the exact same part.)
Detailed instructions are not included but, in a nutshell, you will use a screwdriver to remove the top plate and the face and a nut driver to remove the old CD drive. You will then disconnect the cable(s) that are connected to the CD drive, remove a few screws so you can swap the board from your old one and repeat in reverse.
Do not attempt this repair with the radio still plugged in!
