DETAILS
This BRAND NEW Digital Interface by PIE is a state of the art product that allows you to directly connect and control virtually any iPod (see list below) to/through your factory radio. Unlike many of the cheaper interfaces, this utilizes the satellite capability of your radio and, consequently, it will display full text on your radio display**. This happens without affecting your factory satellite radio signal. (Please specify below whether you have factory XM, regardless if it is active or not.)
It also has left and right RCA input jacks so you can add an additional input source like a different MP3 player, a DVD player, satellite radio, a CD changer, etc. This gives it another distinct advantage over cheaper interfaces that allow you to connect an iPod only!
Unlike some other products, this input utilizes a direct connection that is FAR superior to FM modulater or cassette adaptor devices. The included RCA jacks can easily (and affordably) be adapted to a 3.5mm (1/8") mini jack with an adapter that we sell. (Not included.)
* iPhone Bluetooth capabilities are not supported. Just the control of the music player is enabled.
** Please note that a few of the vehicles on the application list have text limitations and do not display everything
Compatible with the following iPods:

Included with this package:
- PIE Digital interface
- Cable to connect iPod to interface

You will also need a vehicle-specific cable. Due to the large variety of cables available for this product (8), we are listing them as separate options for this one interface, rather than creating multiple products in our store for all the possible cables. Please find your exact year, make and model on one of the lists below and add the appropriate GM2L cable type in the options field at the bottom of this page. If your vehicle is equipped with factory XM (regardless of whether you have an active subscription or not), you will choose the cable starting with X. One of these PIE cables is REQUIRED for use of this product!!

** Not all GM radios had the changer port. If you do not have the 12 pin plug on the back of your radio and a BAND button or your application isn't listed, you cannot use this product. A few 2003 models with the BAND button did NOT have XM capability. (This product uses the XM functionality of the radio for operation.) There is no way to tell this from the face of the radio. If you have a 2003, you will want to take care in opening the packages in case you find you need to return your purchase.
