DETAILS

This BRAND NEW PXDP and PXHTY3 digital iPod interface package from Peripheral allows you to interface and control an iPod with your factory radio. On one end, it plugs into the auxiliary input on the back of your factory radio and, on the other, it provides the proprietary iPod 'docking port' input.

A direct connection is FAR superior to the sound quality you get using an RF modulator OR cassette adapter device.  A connection using the proprietary iPod connector is also superior to cheaper devices that connect through the headphone jack because it retains digital sound quality.  It also allows you to control iPod functions from the radio, which the cheapo adapters cannot do.  This is done by replicating the CD Changer functionality.  The radios this is used with do not have the ability to display text.  Consequently, tracks are displayed numerically on the radio, like a track on a CD.

This is for 1998+ Toyota/Scion radios with remote CD Changer controls. (Generally only found in am/fm/cass, am/fm/cd and am/fm/cd/cass radios. Radio will have a 12-pin connection on the back.)  Please do your research BEFORE buying.

Use of this device will require you to disconnect any remote device that is currently connected to your auxiliary port.

Compatible with the following Apple products with the 30-pin cable:

* Some Matrix radios are made by GM and are not compatible. They also have 12-pin auxiliary plugs so it can be a little confusing. Basically, the 12-pin plug in the back of the radio needs to be white in order for this to work if you've got a Matrix.
