DETAILS

With this kit, you can connect a Bluetooth enabled cell phone that supports HFP (Hands Free Profiles) and listen to the conversation over your car speakers, while speaking through the microphone that comes with the kit. You can also use it to stream music from your phone wirelessly if your phone supports A2DP. What's more, you can control the music on your phone from your radio and/or steering wheel controls using AVRCP wireless audio controls, provided your phone supports it.

There are also two extra ports on this device which will allow you to connect a 30-pin iPod cable and/or an auxiliary input (3.5mm headphone jack) with a USB charging port. Those two cables are optional and are available at extra cost. Please see the Optional Cable Information section below for more information. The difference between this BT3-NIS02 and the AUX-NIS02-BTD we sell is the number of extra inputs. This has two while the AUX-NIS02-BTD only has one.

This product works in satellite (SAT) mode. Consequently your radio MUST be satellite radio capable. (Must have SAT, CAT, CATEGORY, CH or CHANNEL button or labeling.) Your satellite tuner, if so equipped, would need to be disconnected to use this product.

Please see the Application Chart in this ad for additional information on compatibility. We recommend you contact tech support for the manufacturer or visit the gromaudio website to determine exactly how it's going to function in your vehicle with your options. Among other things, they have a Support/FAQ link on their site that contains useful information.

OPTIONAL CABLE INFORMATION

Unlike some competitor's products, this interface includes two extra input ports so you can add an iPod and/or an Aux cable. These cables are available in the UPGRADES section below. Here are the details:
  • If you purchase the optional GA35CBL-U, you can add any external device that has audio output in the form of a 3.5mm stereo-mini headphone jack. (This includes, but is not limited to: mp3 players, satellite radio, CD changers, DVD players, video game systems, etc). This will allow you to listen to the output from that device through your car speakers. It also includes a USB port for charging only. Use it to charge your device while you have it connected to the aux cable. The Aux cable does have a proprietary Grom connector on the end that plugs into the interface, so you do need to use the Grom cable if you wish to add add Aux.
  • If you purchase the optional GAIPDCBL iPod cable for this device, you can listen to it over the radio, charge it at the same time and control some iPod functions through the radio. The iPod cable has a proprietary Grom connector on the end that plugs in the interface, so you do need to use the Grom cable if you wish to add iPod functionality.
We recommend you visit the gromaudio website (and/or contact tech support) to determine exactly how it's going to function in your vehicle with your options.
