The SL3U-T Auxiliary Input adapter (SoundLinQ3) allows you to add 1 auxiliary RCA audio source (uncontrolled) to your Toyota OEM audio system, while still being able to maintain full functionality of all factory installed components. It makes it possible to use aftermarket accessories such as MD players, MP3 Players, portable Satellite Radio Receivers, Android Phones, Android Tablets, computers, etc, without the need for cassette tape adapters, FM transmitters or an FM modulator.

The SL3U-T provides a direct Plug-and-Play connection to the OEM Toyota audio system. The SL3U-T supports most Toyota vehicles whether they are equipped with a Navigation System or not. The unique technology allows you to keep all factory installed components (such as 6-disc CD changer, CD/DVD changer). When you connect the SL3U-T to the audio system, your Toyota recognizes it as an additional CD/MD changer. By using the "DISC" button on your head unit you are able to switch between the original factory single disc CD (or CD changer) and the one emulated by the SL3U-T. This device is compatible in most (but not all) Toyota vehicles from 2004 and newer. See the Application list below and pay special attention to the notes listed after some applications.

This comes with standard stereo RCA connections. You can convert them to a headphone jack, a USB port, a 30-pin iPod connection or a Lightning iPod connection with an adapter cable. If you don't already have one, you can add it as an option towards the bottom of this listing. There is also an option for a dash-mount kit, if you want a dash plug-in like the newer vehicles have. Please keep in mind, however, that this is still just an auxiliary audio input, regardless of whether you convert the RCA plugs to something else or not. You will not add text and control capability just by adding an adapter cable. You will just be changing the connection type (and adding charging, in some instances.)
