Do you have a 2004 to 2007+ in-dash GM am/fm/CD6 radio (the same as or similiar to the one pictured) that gives you CD errors and will no longer play OR no longer loads or ejects properly? If so, this is the repair for you**. Repairing your existing unit is going to be much more economical than replacing it because these are VIN-assigned radios. In other words, your VIN is stored in memory in the radio. If you change radios, in addition to paying for the entire radio, you'll also have to pay the dealer to assign your VIN to it. If you have yours repaired, you simply pop it back in and start playing music as soon as you get it back. No programming needed.

Examples of part numbers that qualify for this repair: 10357886, 10359565, 10359577, 15234935 and 15927261. But other numbers are possible. Message before purchasing if your number is not listed.

We will typically perform the repair within 3 business days of receiving your radio. You have the option of choosing a rebuilt drive or a brand new one. (Make your selection from the drop-down box towards the bottom of this listing.) Rebuilt drives are covered by a 90 day warranty and new ones have a 6 month warranty.

**Some 2004 radios have an old version of the CD6 drive that is not covered in this listing. If you pull the top metal cover off your drive and find you have a single triangular shaped opening above the CD trays (as opposed to two 'kidney' shaped openings), this is not the repair for you. We advise you to check the drive ahead of time. We have a minimum labor charge of $30, so that would be withheld from your refund, at a minimum, should we need to send your radio back un-repaired.

INSTRUCTIONS
You will purchase the repair from this listing first. Then you will send your radio AND a copy of the payment confirmation email OR the Order Process email to:

    Replacement Radios
    Attn: Repairs
    2301 S. Banker St, Ste B
    Effingham, IL 62401
Please purchase delivery confirmation if you use USPS. (Tracking is included with UPS and Fedex.) Our techs do not answer inquiries, so questions about receipt of your package or estimated completion date will NOT be answered. Your tracking number shows when we received the package. The repair turn-around time is indicated above. You will receive a tracking number when it ships back out. If there is a problem or unexpected delay, we will contact you. Calling or emailing us about progress only serves to slow down progress. We know it's tough to go without a radio for a week or more but please be patient. Factory service centers take 3+ weeks to perform repairs, so we're clearly exceeding the standard.

Use common sense!! Please do not send your package without the requested paperwork or, at the very least, a note that indicates your Order Number. Between inventory, repairs, and returns, we get hundreds of items every week. Packages that show up without any documentation WILL experience a significant delay in processing.

ADDITIONAL INFO
This service is for replacement of the CD6 mechanism on radios that look like (or are VERY similiar to) the one pictured only. (** See note above for exclusions.) If you have another radio or your radio needs other repairs, please contact us for an estimate.

If you have CDs in your drive and would like them back, please choose the appropriate option from the drop-down list below. We will send them back with your repaired radio.

If your CD drive is damaged in any manner (for example: someone attempts to remove CDs before sending the drive to us and damages parts that would not normally need replaced) and you purchased the rebuilt option, you will have to pay for the upgrade to a new drive since we will not be able to rebuild your drive for a future customer. We will contact you if this situation arises.

CD drives for MP3 radios are not covered under this repair.

DISCLAIMER: Repair prices are based on the assumption that the radio is in it's native state. If it has been damaged by prior attempts to diagnose or repair a problem, additional parts may be required and, if so, additional costs will be incurred. Should we find this to be the case with your radio, we'll contact you BEFORE doing any additional work. However, should you elect not to have the additional work completed, there will be no refund for time and materials already put into the radio. We also reserve the right to refuse to repair any radio which we feel has been compromised by someone else's shoddy diagnosis or repair attempt. We will not put our expensive equipment at risk! Do yourself a favor and send the radio to us in the first place. Do no attempt to repair it or let someone who is not qualified look at it.
