This is a brand new BARE 6 disc CD drive for 2002-2006 RAQ, RBQ and remote CD6 units in Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep vehicles ONLY. RAQ and RBQ are option codes. The option code for your radio can be found in small print on the face of the radio. It should be printed on your RPO code sticker too. It also works with the remote, dash-mounted CD Changers found in some vehicles. This is NOT the drive used in the REC navigation or RAK CD6/Cassette radios. Nor is it the correct drive for the remote mounted DVD changers or the console/trunk/under-seat/cargo-area CD changers. It is for three 2002-2006 applications only: RAQ radio, RBQ radio and dash-mounted CD6 (Non-DVD) Changer.
It comes with a 6 month functional warranty. The warranty is voided if there is electrical damage as a result of a short in the radio or problems with the electrical system in the car. This situation would be extremely rare and is usually the result of jump-starting the car, replacing an electrical component in the car (battery, starter, alternator, etc) or self-diagnosis (and/or attempted repair) of un-related problems in the radio. (Button wear, tuner is out, etc)
This drive might appear identical to the drive used in some GM and Ford vehicles but we cannot guarantee it, so you would be purchasing at your own risk if you don't have either the RAQ or RBQ am/fm/CD6 radio or the dash-mounted CD6 Changer (Non-DVD). There will be no returns accepted for this item for any reason other than functional defect and, even then, your only option will be replacement with the EXACT same thing, so please do your research BEFORE purchasing.
This is a BARE drive. The Chrysler board for the back of the drive is not included. You will need to de-solder the board from your current drive and solder it to this one. Please do not purchase this drive if you are not willing or able to do the soldering. Again, returns are not accepted for any reason other than functional defect and, even then, your only option will be replacement with the exact same thing. Warranty claims will not be honored in situations where you have damaged the drive during soldering or install so, again, do not purchase this drive if you are not adept at soldering small connections. In VERY rare situations, the board on your drive may be bad. If you swap boards and the new drive still has the same problem, this might be the cause. If your board looks like it is getting too hot and has some brownish discoloration on it, you may need a different board too.
Instructions are NOT included for installing this drive in your radio. You shouldn't be attempting this repair if you're not qualified. Please do yourself a favor and send your radio to us for repair if you have any doubts. If you damage it because you don't know what you're doing, you're out of luck. We are also not responsible for any damage you might do to your radio while attempting this repair. It's not all that difficult but, again, if you have any doubts, send your radio to us for the repair.
