This is a brand new 6 disc CD drive for select Ford non-mp3 radios. Even though it looks like the same drive used in various other applications (GM, Nissan, Toyota, Audi, Hyundai, Honda, etc), this is the Ford version and they are not usually interchangeable. You will need to pop the top case off your Ford radio to verify yours has this drive because some of the radios were offered with a different, incompatible drive. If yours doesn't look exactly like the one pictured, it won't work for you. There will be no returns accepted for this item for any reason other than functional defect. Even then, only exchanges will be offered, not refunds, so please do your research BEFORE purchasing.

Again, this drive might appear identical to the drive used in some other manufacturer's vehicles but the board on the back is different. It may work if you swap the boards but we cannot guarantee it, so you would be purchasing at your own risk if you don't have a Ford Lincoln Mercury vehicle. Installation is relatively easy but, if you're not mechanically inclined, you shouldn't be buying it. Basically, you remove the top case cover. Then you remove two screws holding the drive in from the top and two more from the side. The drive can then be lifted out and the ribbon cable pulled free of it. Brackets attached to the drive may need swapped to the new one.
