This item has been marked as SOLD OUT. This usually means we can no longer get it and/or it was discontinued. We do not expect it to be available again any time soon, if at all. If it comes back in stock unexpectedly, we will update the site. If you select the Notify option in the right column, you will receive an email if and when this happens. In the meantime, feel free to browse our other selections. Perhaps another product will fit the bill.

Do you have a 2003-2006 in-dash Ford/Lincoln/Mercury am/fm/CD6 radio (like the one pictured) that gives you CD errors and/or will no longer play? Or maybe it just doesn't eject or load right? If so, this is the repair for you. Simply complete the payment process and send your radio to us for the repair. It is typically completed within 3 business days of receiving your radio. The repair carries a 6 month warranty.

This is NOT the correct listing for radios that have a CD6 drive which requires a shipping bracket to be dropped in. (Usually characterized by 5-6 @3/4" slots in the top of the drive. Most of them running side to side.) That is the listing for 2000+ radios.

INSTRUCTIONS
You will purchase the repair from this listing first. Then you will send your radio AND a copy of the payment confirmation email OR the Order Process email to:

    Replacement Radios
    Attn: Repairs
    110 S. Front St, POB 1051
    Effingham, IL 62401
Please purchase delivery confirmation if you use USPS. (Tracking is included with UPS and Fedex.) Our techs do not answer inquiries, so questions about receipt of your package or estimated completion date will NOT be answered. Your tracking number shows when we received the package. The repair turn-around time is indicated above. You will receive a tracking number when it ships back out. If there is a problem or unexpected delay, we will contact you. Calling or emailing us about progress only serves to slow down progress. We know it's tough to go without a radio for a week or more but please be patient. Factory service centers take 3+ weeks to perform repairs, so we're clearly exceeding the standard.

Use common sense!! Please do not send your package without the requested paperwork or, at the very least, a note that indicates your Order Number. Between inventory, repairs, and returns, we get hundreds of items every week. Packages that show up without any documentation WILL experience a significant delay in processing.

DETAILS
If you attempt to remove CDs before sending the drive to us and damage parts inside the drive that would not normally need replaced (very likely), there will be an additional core charge of $25. If you have CDs in the radio that you would like returned, please choose that option from the drop-down list below. Your drive is replaced with one from our inventory and the radio is then returned to you. When your original drive comes back from the rebuilders, the CDs from it will be sent back to you if you selected that option below. This usually takes 2-3 weeks. Your radio (with the replacement drive) is typically turned around within 3 days, as indicated above.

This repair is NOT for the MP3 version of the CD6 radios. Please contact us for a quote if you have this style of radio with MP3 playback.

Many of these older radios (2000 to early 2003, in most cases) are meant to be put in shipping mode AND have special pins inserted into the radio to keep the mechanism from moving. Your radio will be returned to you in shipping mode, if applicable, to help keep the CD mechanism from being damaged in shipping. (If yours requires shipping pins it will be obvious because they'll be sticking out of the top of the case.) Do NOT consider having your radio repaired by someone who does not ship the radio in this manner. These mechanisms are EXTREMELY sensitive to shipping 'jolts' and arrive damaged at least 50% of the time if the radio is not put in shipping mode.

DISCLAIMER: Repair prices are based on the assumption that the radio is in it's native state. If it has been damaged by prior attempts to diagnose or repair a problem, additional parts may be required and, if so, additional costs will be incurred. Should we find this to be the case with your radio, we'll contact you BEFORE doing any additional work. However, should you elect not to have the additional work completed, there will be no refund for time and materials already put into the radio.
