These drives are new. They are removed from New Old Stock radios we have in such quantity, we would never sell them all. So we part them out. It should work in many 2001-2003 GM cars and mini-vans. It is NOT the drive used in fullsize trucks, SUVs or vans. Do yourself a favor and pop the top off the radio so you can make sure the top of the drive looks like the one pictured below because returns are not accepted for any reason other than functional defect and, even then, an exchange for the exact same model will be your only option. This drive is easily distinguished by the long spring visible on the top, as well as the red and black wires that disappear over one side of the drive. Yours may have a white sticker on it that this picture doesn't show. It's still the same drive.
In rare instances, you may find that replacing the drive does not solve your problem. Occasionally one of the boards is bad inside the radio and, if this is the case, replacing the drive will not change anything. This is very rare but we have seen it a couple times.
Assembly is fairly easy but we do not include written instructions. You shouldn't be performing this repair if you're not qualified. Most radios need dis-assembled in a certain order to keep from damaging other components.
Do not attempt this repair with the radio still plugged in!
