This was a perfect fit to replace the broken (CD jammed) original 6 disc changer in my '04 Chevy Silverado. No programming necessary and it's a direct fit. Just have to remove your old one and swap two brackets one of which holds a circuit board. Very simple if you have any mechanical ability. I had one small issue with the screws for one of the brackets. The new model didn't have threads cut and using the original screws to cut the threads didn't work out. I contacted Kevin and worked through the issue without any further problems. I suggest that if you have black screws on the back bracket, use the gold plated screws to cut the threads first then use the black screws to mount the bracket. The gold cadmium plated screws seem to be a little tougher and the threads won't strip like the black screws. Overall, took about 30 minutes to complete the job and the changer works perfectly.
