This is a replacement plug for some original factory GM radios from 2000 and newer. Wiring pigtails of at least 2 inches are attached.
This would be spliced into your existing harness if your factory auxiliary plug has been removed from the vehicle. This was the only 12-pin plug offered by GM in conjunction with a 24-pin main plug, so if you've counted 24 pins on your main connector, this is the auxiliary plug you need. (It is an auxiliary input for rear seat audio, CD changer, On-Star, XM radio, DVD, etc.)
This style of plug was used on most Class 2 computer-integrated Chevy, GMC, Pontiac (except Bonneville) and Saturn radios that were approximately 4 3/8 inches tall, starting in 2000. Some Buick and Oldsmobile vehicles also used this plug but you should contact us about them, as another plug style was also used. See the Application List below for examples of vehicles that used these plugs.
Different wire colors were often used, so the plug you receive may have wiring that looks different from our photo. Please be aware that you might have to track down the function of each wire on your harness and do research regarding pin assignment before wiring this plug up.
