So what exactly is HD radio and how does it differ from regular radio broadcasts? HD radio is digital radio.  Instead of one analog signal, an HD station will send a bundled signal made up of both analog and digital.  The digital layers are compressed and reach their destination with less static or distortion than conventional radio.  That's why they call it High Definition.

This tuner, when combined with a compatible Grom Audio interface (currently IPD4, MST3P, MST4, USB2P and USB3) will allow you to listen to and control all 3800+ channels of HD radio directly through your radio.  You can find the required interfaces for all sorts of vehicles in the iPod or USB Interface categories to the left.

This tuner uses the motorola style antenna plug. If your vehicle does not utilize the motorola plug, you can easily convert yours to motorola and then back again with an antenna adapter kit.
