DETAILS

This is a new CD drive mechanism for select Honda radios made by Clarion. The 2016-2017 Accord is one vehicle known to have used this drive, but there was more than one version of the drive in those radios. There are other Honda radios that could possibly be equipped with this drive too. But... we only guarantee it to work if your drive matches this one, so you will have to open your radio up and compare before purchasing. There was another, incompatible version which is noticeably different from the top. (See listing 274748847291.) Please note: It does not play DVD movies. (Even if your current drive does.) 

Installation of this drive is somewhat complicated. It drops down inside the radio. Only qualified technicians, experienced with dis-assembly of the radios in question, should be performing this repair. We assume NO liability for problems encountered, or damage incurred, during installation of this drive. Please don't say we didn't tell you. Please note: you may have to swap your control board to this drive. It is held on by 2 screws and is connected with 2 ribbon cables. (That swap is relatively easy, if necessary.)
