I purchased the programming option.

I upgraded from a standard CD player model to an MP3 radio with the satellite capability (but not the separate satellite tuner).

Very pleased with purchase and now with the operation of it. Obviously not as fancy of controls as a modern 3rd party (aftermarket) system, however it looks like it belongs in the car. The head unit I received is flawless with no scratches or wear on it. (results may vary though..?) This was completely worth it. The old radio works fine but I wanted MP3 capability.

I had to call to clarify about shipping issues, a human being answered on the first ring. In my area, we do not have street delivery, all USPS mail goes to a po box, I had to utilize the extra service that goes USPS.

Installation note that for my 2006 Impala -- I just gently pulled down the decorative bezel around the radio and climate controls using my fingers / fingernails. If you gently pick at it and produce a little more pressure until it pops outward, then work your way around you can get it off without damaging it. Then there are a few philips screws holding in the radio and the climate controls, you need to remove all screws to get it out, separate the climate control, then put in the replacement radio. As you remove the cable harnesses, there are little clips to push down, also the antenna in lower corner sticks pretty good but does pop out.

As you put the replacement radio back in remember to keep the cable for the bezel lights out on top and in front of the radio. You\'ll want to reconnect that LED harness.

Beginner difficulty to change the radio.
