Please note that these units were originally intended for the Middle East market. (Yes, that's overseas.) It plays regular audio CDs fine but it reads a different DVD region than the US. This may or may not be changeable. It is up to you to research. Further, there is no AM band at all and the FM band has more frequencies than we use in the US. This just means FM scanning will take a little longer but it will still get all the US FM stations. You will also need to get a standard 22-pin Kenwood harness to connect it. They are readily available for $10 or less on the web.

Basically, this is a great way to get a nice remote-controlled video monitor and CD radio in your vehicle. One that has great connectivity options for iPods, Bluetooth, Back-up camera and more. (Bluetooth, iPod and back-up camera require additional equipment that is not included and not available through us.) This is a bargain price for a radio with these features. If you can get the DVD features updated, it becomes a flat-out steal.

(Not researching or understanding some functions, or lack-there-of, is not the same as the radio having a functional defect.) No refunds, upgrades, down-grades, trade-ins, credits, etc will be issued. We have these marked at a fraction of their retail cost.

REVERSE TILT MECHANISM
Depending on the vehicle, in-car monitors are installed in a variety of heights and angles, and this sometimes results in reduced visibility due to reflected glare from sunlight. In particular, vehicles such as RVs with high mounting positions suffer from this problem. Kenwood's solution is the newly developed reverse tilt mechanism : in addition to the traditional tilt mechanism that allows the bottom of the monitor to be tilted forward over 5 positions, the reverse tilt also allows the top of the monitor to tilt forward to eliminate reflected glare.
