Subaru bare CD6 mechanism drive 6CD CD Changer mech *NEW*
$85.00
This is a brand new BARE 6 disc CD drive for select Subaru radios. Our research indicates it was offered in some 86201-AG210 (GX-201KEF2), 86201-AG310 (GX-201REF2), 86201-AG410 (GX-201LEF2), 86201-AG510 (GX-201SEF2), 86201-SA200 (GX806EF2) and 86201-SA380 (GX804MF2) radios but other applications are possible. They did have a different drive in some of these radios, so make sure to pop the top of your case and confirm the drive looks like this before ordering. The other version was dramatically different.

It comes with a 6 month functional warranty. The warranty is voided if there is electrical damage as a result of a short in the radio or problems with the electrical system in the car. This situation would be extremely rare and is usually the result of jump-starting the car, replacing an electrical component in the car (battery, starter, alternator, etc) or self-diagnosis (and/or attempted repair) of un-related problems in the radio. (Button wear, tuner is out, etc)

This drive might appear identical to the drive used in some GM and Ford vehicles but we cannot guarantee it, so you would be purchasing at your own risk if you don't have one of the radios listed with one of the drives pictured. There will be no returns accepted for this item for any reason other than functional defect and, even then, your only option will be replacement with the EXACT same thing, so please do your research BEFORE purchasing.

This is a BARE drive. The board for the back of the drive is not included. You will need to de-solder the board from your current drive and solder it to this one. Please do not purchase this drive if you are not willing or able to do the soldering. Again, returns are not accepted for any reason other than functional defect and, even then, your only option will be replacement with the exact same thing. Warranty claims will not be honored in situations where you have damaged the drive during soldering or install so, again, do not purchase this drive if you are not adept at soldering small connections. In VERY rare situations, the board on your drive may be bad. If you swap boards and the new drive still has the same problem, this might be the cause. If your board looks like it is getting too hot and has some brownish discoloration on it, you may need a different board too.

Instructions are NOT included for installing this drive in your radio. You shouldn't be attempting this repair if you're not qualified. Please do yourself a favor and send your radio to us for repair if you have any doubts. If you damage it because you don't know what you're doing, you're out of luck. We are also not responsible for any damage you might do to your radio while attempting this repair. It's not all that difficult but, again, if you have any doubts, send your radio to us for the repair.
