I just installed this kit in a 2013 Toyota Highlander SE with multi-touch factory radio. I followed the instructions carefully and everything worked perfectly the first time! I previously tried to install an iSimple gateway in this same vehicle and had all sorts of problems, eventually giving up. If you're considering iSimple versus VAIS SoundlinQ3, I would definitely recommend the VAIS product - much easier to install, fewer dip switches. The kit was shipped fast and well-packaged. I'm very satisfied.
