I ordered and received my replacement bare changer from this site, and swapped out the defective one without any problems. My wife is happy again, as she can now listen to her CD's again.
My only complaint is it looks like the price dropped $20 since I bought mine.
I took pictures as I did the work, and can document it for others if that interests you.
