DETAILS
This is an fm/cassette radio. It has a really common size (@ 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" x 2") and plug, which should make it compatible in a large number of semi-trucks and tractors. It was obviously manufactured for Volvo but that doesn't mean it is limited to Volvo applications. We have determined some vehicles from Case, Freightliner, International, John Deere, Kenworth, Massey Ferguson, Hummer, GM, Mack, Navistar, New Holland and Peterbilt all have radios with this size, mounting and plug style. Maybe others too... It can be used in place of the following part numbers, but it doesn't have all the same features, so it is not an exact replacement for any of these. This radio has the Radio Data System (RDS) feature, so it will show text about songs, artists and stations, if the station broadcasts that way.
The plug to connect it to your vehicle is not included. It should already be part of your wiring. If you need one, it can be added under OPTIONS below. (Please note, however, that the wiring colors may not match your existing wiring.) The mounting sleeve is included, as seen in one of the pictures. If you already have a mounting sleeve in your vehicle, this one may not be required. Instructions for installation are not included. However, this just snaps into place after you install the mounting sleeve and it is removed using standard radio removal tools. (Not included, but available in OPTIONS below.) Easy peasy.
This radio has the theft lock feature. The code sticker is included. (It is stuck to the display in one picture.) You rotate the Preset knob to select the first digit, then press the knob to accept it. Then it moves to the second digit and you repeat until you've entered the fourth digit, then you press and hold the Preset knob. If you mess it up, it may go into lock mode and you need to leave it powered up for at least 2 hours before it will give you a chance to enter the code again.
To set the clock: Turn power on to the radio with the power (left) knob. Press AND HOLD the right knob until the radio displays 12/24. Rotate it one click to change the display to SETCLOCK. Press the knob to select that submenu. Rotate the knob to get to the right hour. (Going past 12 to make it start over for PM.) Press the knob to accept the hour and change the display to minutes. Rotate the knob to set the minutes. Press the power knob to get out of Set mode when you've completed entry.
This part is exactly what the ad says it is. Returns are not accepted for any reason other than functional defect. No refunds, exchanges, upgrades, downgrades, credits, etc will be granted. Make sure your plugs and size match BEFORE ordering. We are not guaranteeing it for any one particular vehicle. Nor are we guaranteeing it for all Volvo vehicles.
