DETAILS

This BRAND NEW PXDP and PXHCH3 digital iPod interface package from Peripheral allows you to interface and control an iPod with your factory radio. On one end, it plugs into the auxiliary input on the back of your factory radio and, on the other, it provides the proprietary iPod 'docking port' input.

A direct connection is FAR superior to the sound quality you get using an RF modulator OR cassette adapter device.  A connection using the proprietary iPod connector is also superior to cheaper devices that connect through the headphone jack because it retains digital sound quality.  It also allows you to control iPod functions from the radio, which the cheapo adapters cannot do.  This is done by replicating the CD Changer functionality.  The radios this is used with do not have the ability to display text.  Consequently, tracks are displayed numerically on the radio, like a track on a CD.

This is for 2002+ Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep 'oval style' radios with the square 10-pin changer plug on the back.  Further, the radio MUST be capable of controlling a remote CD player.  (Must have a MODE button.)  Please do your research BEFORE buying.

Use of this device will require you to disconnect any remote device that is currently connected to your auxiliary port.

This is not compatible with RBQ (CD6), RB1 (nav) or RB4 (nav) radios because they do not have remote CD Changer controls, in most cases.

Compatible with the following Apple products with the 30-pin cable:

For proper operation of this product, the factory CD changer, if present, will need to be disconnected from the factory harness. This is not compatible with the RBQ, RB4 and some RB1 radios since they do not have CD changer controls.

* Some early 2002 models had different plugs. You must have a square 10-pin changer plug and a radio that is capable of controlling a changer in order to use this product. Additionally, this is not for CAN-BUS radios. This is for the 'oval' style radios with 22 and 10 pin plugs and ONE knob (not counting fade and balance adjusters) on the face.
