This kit has many uses but the primary use would be to extend an existing auxiliary input and make it dash-mountable for easy access. You would drill a hole in your dash/console and mount the connector. This way you don't have any wire hanging out from under your dash. The end result is a professional installation, much like the factory auxiliary input jacks that have started appearing in some vehicles. Comparable to the iSimple IS335.
