This is a New Old Stock 6 disc CD drive for select Ford/Mercury/Lincoln non-mp3 radios manufactured by Visteon. (Not Delco, not Pioneer and not Sanyo.) It is part number 2L1F-18C821-BD or equivalent. (It interchanges with the same number ending in BA, BB, BC, BE, BF, BG, etc.) It is normally seen in 2003-2005 radios. Even though it looks like the same drive used in various other applications (GM, Nissan, Toyota, Audi, Hyundai, Honda, etc), this is the Ford version and they are not interchangeable. (This has a special mechanism to open the CD door, in some applications.) You will need to pop the top case off your Ford radio to verify yours has this drive because some of the radios were offered with a different, incompatible drive. If yours doesn't look virtually identical to the one pictured, it won't work for you. There will be no returns accepted for this item for any reason other than functional defect. Again, this drive might appear identical to the drive used in some other manufacturer's vehicles but there are differences that affect compatibility. It is not capable of playing MP3 audio files and may not work in radios with similar looking drives that do play MP3 files. Do not purchase this drive if you have an MP3 logo or a Folder button! Installation is relatively easy but, if you're not mechanically inclined, you shouldn't be buying it. Basically, you remove the top case cover by removing two screws and prying it off. Then you remove two screws holding the drive on the top on one side and two more on the opposite side. The drive can then be lifted out and the ribbon cable pulled free of it. If there is a bracket attached to the back of the drive, it may need swapped to the new one.

There is a 6 month replacement warranty on this item. It covers functional defects only. This is a special order item and typically takes 7-10 business days to ship.
