This kit has many possible uses. Whether you want to play your mp3 or iPod songs over the radio, listen to audio from a DVD player, CD Changer, portable GPS or a game system, this is the most universal device out there. Why? Because it connects using the motorola style antenna plug that most factory radios use*. This means you don't have to worry which auxiliary input product you need. This works with everything! Or perhaps there isn't even an aux input available for your vehicle/radio. Problem solved! Use this universal input to accomplish your goal.

This is NOT a wireless FM transmitter. It physically plugs into the back of your radio for a true direct connection. Yes, it requires a little more work but, trust me, it's well worth it. The wireless FM transmitters are TERRIBLE. The sound quality is the worst of all the possible methods for aux input. Why would you choose the worst method when there's an affordable alternative like this one?

This product includes a switch you will mount under your dash to turn the device on and off. Yes, it adds a minor amount of work but you want this switch. Why? It allows the device to physically block out the incoming radio transmission from your antenna. This eliminates interference from the outside world and/or actual stations that might be broadcasting on the same frequency. You've heard of people having to constantly switch their FM transmitter to a different station to listen to music while they're traveling? They have to do this because all of a sudden there is a station in the area that uses the frequency they selected back when they started the road trip. If you're blocking the reception by throwing the switch, you don't have this problem. Set it and forget it!

Another nice feature is the adjustable gain control. You can set it to match the volume level of your radio. Then when you switch over, it's not blaring loud or too low to hear. This is not like a regular volume control. You will still have volume control from the radio and/or your steering wheel controls. This merely lets you set a starting point. Match it to the current volume of the radio station and you're good to go. It now changes with the volume control from the radio. You shouldn't have to touch the gain control again.

This terminates in left and right RCA jacks. If you need it to terminate in a 3.5mm stereo mini headphone jack, a USB plug, an iPod connection or a dash-mount aux plug, you can add one of the cables from the OPTIONS section below. Keep in mind, however, that just because you change the connection type does not mean you will have added features. The iPod and USB cables add charging but, beyond that, no additional features will be gained by changing the connection type.
