Ford Wiring Adapter: \'World\' Plug vehicle to \'Phase II\' radio
$39.99

DETAILS

This Radio Specialty brand wiring adapter allows you to put a newer radio with the 24-pin Phase II plug (started appearing in 2003 and was standard in pretty much all Ford vehicles by 2007) in a vehicle with the older (1998-2005*) 16-pin 'World' plug.

This is a popular swap because some of the newer Phase II radios still had the same mounting style and offered satellite radio compatibility. (It is up to you to make sure you have a radio that mounts properly in your vehicle. Many of the newest Phase II radios are now sized differently and mount differently as well.)

The plugs pictured are the ones on each end of the adapter. They are connected together to form the adapter. We solder them together and then shrink-wrap them. We don't use cheap splices. The actual adapter is not pictured because this is a custom, made-to-order item. As a result, delivery time may be delayed 3-5 days.

*They offered a subwoofer system in some vehicles. This adapter does not accommodate the subwoofer system. It is only for the main 16-pin world plug, which contains power, ground, illumination and the main speaker wires. (Everything that's required for the radio itself to operate.) It does NOT accommodate satellite radio, rear seat entertainment or any other auxiliary option either. Again, it's for the main plug, which contains the power, ground and speaker wires.

Returns are not accepted for this item. Make sure you match up your plugs to the description prior to purchasing. If you still have questions, call first.
