Submited By: John French on 03/03/2022 Super deal! Brand new OEM six CD Ford radio, slides right into the dash of my Grand Marquis, and looks stock of course. Problem is, the audio quality is very inferior compared to the stock cassette deck it replaces, and I may change it back soon. However, it is a pretty nice radio for the price, and is easily removed and replaced with the original on a whim.
>>>Reply by ReplacementRadios on 3-3-2022 -- The buyer indicates he has a cassette radio but purchased the top of the line CD6. Unfortunately different radios are often made with different features and support different sound systems. As noted in the ad: \"Make sure your part number ends in 18C815-A something or 18C815-B something (AA, AB, BA, BB, etc) because they did make different versions.\" If you match the portion of the number we ask you to match, you get a radio that is compatible with your original. If you do not, you can expect differences. In this case, the vehicle is missing the subwoofer found in vehicles with this radio part number. Since all the bass is routed to the subwoofer (which is missing), you get what you perceive as poor audio quality when it is really just a compatibility problem that is specifically addressed in the ad. This radio sounds great... if used with the system it is intended for...

Submited By: Peter Gormley on 10/10/2021 Installed in my 2009 Crown Victoria, this radio works perfectly with the Ford factory subwoofer. Low frequencies are sent to the subwoofer and the rest goes to the front and rear speakers. The full system sounds really good once you get the settings dialed in (fade, bass level, etc.) CD6 is easy to use and the OEM fit of the radio is flawless. This unit is highly recommended if you have the factory subwoofer in your CV or GM. Also, Replacement Radios came through with fast shipping and excellent customer service!

Submited By: John Carlson on 02/25/2016 Replacement radio for 2008 grand marquis was simple to purchase. I up graded from single cd player to a 6 cd radio. To install took less than six minutes. Factory replacement radio cant tell unit was replaced. Unit works great!
***Reply by ReplacementRadios: Technically you can install the CD6 in place of the single disc BUT you will not have ANY bass. That is because there was also an amp and subwoofer in vehicles originally equipped with the CD6. ALL the bass is routed to that plug, which most single CD equipped vehicles do not have.***
