DETAILS
This is for both the original factory 20-pin square auxiliary plug and the main 16-pin rectangular plug (both with wiring pigtails). Commonly referred to as the World plugs. The auxiliary plug is used for the factory inputs such as rear seat audio, steering wheel controls, CD changer, etc. The main plug is used for power, ground, illumination and primary speakers (not the subwoofer). These would be spliced into your existing harness if your factory plugs have been removed from the vehicle.
The factory subwoofer plug is also available. Please contact us if you are in need of that product.
*Not all models had this plug style in all the years listed. Please check your radio before ordering. This style of plug was used in 1998-2005 Ford vehicles without Premium Sound. This is not used in the 2004 and newer F150, Expedition and Navigator.
Ford did not always use the same wire colors. Often they used whatever they had available. If your colors don't match up to the new plugs, you will need to do some research to determine which of your wires are for what, then find a website (there are a few possibilities at the bottom of the invoice you will receive with your order) that tells you the pin-out for these plugs. Then you will have to splice them together. Not an easy task, but a necessary one.
