This is an original factory 'world' plug with wiring pigtails. It contains the power, ground, illumination and primary speakers (but not the subwoofer.) This would be spliced into your existing harness if your factory plug has been removed from the vehicle.

This is the plug pictured without the 'X'. If you also need the factory 20-pin square auxiliary input plug and/or the subwoofer plug, they are available separately (or packaged with this one) in the Wiring>>Ford>>Plugs listings.

*Not all models had this plug style in all the years listed. Please check your radio before ordering. This style of plug was used in 1998-2005 Ford vehicles without Premium Sound. This is not used in the 2004 and newer F150, Expedition and Navigator.

Ford did not always use the same wire colors. Often they used whatever they had available. If your colors don't match up to the new plugs, you will need to do some research to determine which of your wires are for what, then find a website (there are a few possibilities at the bottom of the invoice you will receive with your order) that tells you the pin-out for these plugs. Then you will have to splice them together. Not an easy task, but a necessary one.
